Henry is from Mickey and Kendra. Prior to the onset of the pandemic, Henry completed two passes toward his Junior Hunter title. During the pandemic he was training for Senior and Master hunt tests so he could move on once things return to normal. On May 23, 2021 he completed his Junior Hunter title at a test in Pennsylvania. On October 10, 2021 Henry completed the requirements for his AKC Senior Hunter title. As of August 2023, Henry has earned four passes toward his Master Hunter title. Henry is a very intelligent dog, trains easily, loves to work, has a great nose and is very loving to boot. He stands 18" tall and weighs in at 40 pounds. As you can see in his picture, he has a curly coat which helps him to stay comfortable in cold temperatures and to shed water well.

Bernie is from Chunk and Rumor. Bernie takes after his father and is a big boy measuring 20" tall and weighing 45 pounds. He loves to work marsh and field and is a retrieving fool. He completed his AKC Junior Hunter title in August of 2022. We expect to complete the Senior Hunter title in the spring of 2024. During early goose season in Michigan Bernie showed that no bird is too big for him to handle as he quickly snatched up a large goose with little trouble. Bernie is friendly toward people and other dogs, and loves to snuggle. If you are wondering why the long registered name, Bernie is named after Paul's brother Bernie and his two AWS Aero and Sky. It was Paul’s way of paying tribute to a man he so admired. Paul's brother loved duck hunting and it is fitting that this Bernie is performing so well as a waterfowl retriever.

Chunk is a stud dog that we used for the first time in 2020. He lives in Iowa where he is a loyal and loving family member. He adores swimming and retrieving in water. Chunk's days are spent keeping up with his owner on a corn and soybean farm. Chunk loves going for rides and the front seat next to his boy is his ideal spot. Visitors have to be sure to shut their vehicle doors or they will find Chunk in the front seat ready to go. Chunk is a pretty smart guy. He knows the difference from his boy just leaving to go out for supper or if he puts bags in the truck and is going to be gone a few days. He only howls at being left behind if he "knows" his boy is going to be gone longer.

Stone is from a breeding between Shooter and Violet. He is a great looking dog with good movement, a wonderful temperament, and excellent working ability. Since he was six months old he has spent time in the field pulling retrieving and flushing duties from Michigan to North Dakota. He is used to hunt ducks, pheasants, and all types of gamebirds. While he is not owned by us, he does reside in Michigan and can be seen at our place several times a year. We have kept an eye on him from the day he was born and he has never disappointed us. As you can see above, he is a healthy fella and we look forward to using him at stud later in 2015. His owners entered their first hunt test in the spring of 2015 and earned the first pass toward the Junior Hunter title. We expect that we will be seeing him out at other hunt tests in the future.

Grizzly is the son of Bear and Kendra. He lives in Michigan with an outdoor oriented family and several children. He stands about 17" tall and weighs in at approximately 37 pounds. He has a sweet personality, is very obedient, loves to retrieve, and has great drive.

Geddy is from a breeding between Brownie and Gracie. He lives in Michigan and can be seen at Great Lakes AWSC training events and here at home when he comes for private or group training lessons. His owner hunts both waterfowl and upland birds here in Michigan along with an occasional trip to a local hunting preserve. Geddy stands about 18" tall and weighs in at 45 pounds. He is a broad, solidly built little machine. He has a great nose and loves to retrieve. He has been raised with a family of four and loves people and other dogs.

Easton is the son of Brownie and Secret. He lives in Michigan and attends most of the Great Lakes AWSC events. He trains for both upland and waterfowl hunting and earned his AKC Junior Hunter title in 2018, his Senior Hunter title in 2021, and his Senior Hunter Advanced in 2022. Easton stands about 16.5 inches tall and weighs in at 35 pounds. Like his father, he knows how to use his nose and is very driven in the field. He gets along well with other dogs and people, loves training, and learns fast.
